Advent: A Moment Eternal
The Advent season is here– a time of sacred preparation for the coming of Christmas, the arrival of our Messiah, Jesus Christ, incarnated in the flesh to the Virgin Mary, here for the salvation of many.
At the Gathering, we participate in Advent via three primary methods: Contemplation, Anticipation, and Celebration.
Each Wednesday evening in December, leading up to Christmas Eve, we will be tackling the various themes, aspects, and theological premises surrounding the incarnation of Christ. Advent is an act of remembrance, and as we pay proper attention to it, we find ourselves within the Eternal Moment of this season.
Week 1: Contemplation
Week 2: Anticipation
Week 3: Celebration
