aboutus

"You must love the Lord with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. The second commandment says: 'Love others as much as you love yourself.' No other commandment is more important than these." Mark 12:30-31

Our small groups exist to connect people with God and each other!

MISSION

Love    Study    Follow    Serve

To encourage the study of God's Word, apply His Word to our lives, and serve and reach others with the love of Christ

Acts 2:42-47 is the foundational scripture for any small group ministry. It sets forth the model of groups meeting for the purpose of study, prayer, and fellowship. “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”  Acts 2:42-47 (NIV)

VISION

Our small groups will strengthen us to love God passionately, study His Word diligently, follow His Spirit daily, serve the church willingly and love one another as Christ loves us.

CORE VALUES

  • God-centered:   At the heart of every small group meeting is God Himself.  He is the reason we meet and the reason we study.

  • Biblically Sound:  We choose studies that are firmly rooted in Scripture and sound doctrine so that we will be prepared to give everyone the reason for the hope that is within us.

  • Balanced:  We choose studies that are balanced in their approach so as to unite those who attend.

  • Spiritual Formation:  We intentionally apply what we learn in our studies so that we are “conformed to the image of Christ”

  • Life application:  We study God’s Word to become better equipped to apply Biblical truth to living the Christian life in our culture.

  • Relationships:  We connect with one another and develop God-centered, fulfilling, challenging and accountable relationships in our small groups

  • Service: Every member of our small groups will be given the opportunity to find a place of service within the group and within the body of Christ.

  • Outreach:  Our small groups will be one avenue to reach disciples for Christ, encourage our congregation, and serve the community.

“And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.  The second is equally important: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” No other commandment is greater than these” (Mark 12:30-31)
