I came to the Lord as a 17-year-old through a youth outreach of a local Assembly of God church in Brooklyn, NY.  As a young woman, I began attending Brooklyn Tabernacle, where I remained for 30 years until relocating to Poughkeepsie.

While at Brooklyn Tabernacle, I participated in several ministries, but the main one was the choir, of which I was a member for 20 years.  I was also involved in the clown ministry, where I reached out with the message of the gospel to children of all ages.

In 1997, I began attending Faith Assembly as a new resident of Dutchess County.  At Faith, I served in the choir for several years and in the Samuel Prayer Ministry since its inception, where I am a facilitator.  I have been a Bible study facilitator for 19 years.  I had the honor and privilege to inaugurate and direct the Women of Noble Character ministry for single and divorced mothers, providing them with spiritual mentorship.   I’ve written skits for the children’s and women’s ministries at Faith Assembly.  It has been a privilege for me to serve on the board for two terms (2012-2018).

In 2013, I married Reverend Ronald Conti, retired senior pastor of Newburgh Assembly of God church, and presently we facilitate Bible studies together.  I praise God for His faithfulness through the years, and I’m thankful for the ways He has used my walk with Him to be a testimony and blessing to others.  I am honored and humbled to be considered to serve on the church board.

Lenny Scolaro

My name is Lenny Scolaro and I grew up in this area and lived here most of my life.  In my life, I served our country during the first Desert Storm in the US army and have volunteered for many worthy organizations.  I am a business leader in IBM and I have a wonderful family with my wife, Alexandra and our four children: Peter, Andrew, Giancarlo and Isabella.

I’ve been a part of Faith Assembly since 2014.  In that time, I have been the soccer coach for the JV and Varsity FCA teams, the Teen Bible Quiz coach, and most recently lead Financial Peace University for our church.

I am currently serving on the FCA school board and I am slowly starting to minister with our worship team as I prayerfully seek to bless others through music.

I am very passionate about our church and our church family and so have always been willing to give freely of my time to do my part to give back to the church that has given so much to us.

I appreciate your consideration in being selected for the Church board and I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve in this area.

It is an honor and privilege to be nominated to serve on the church board.  I was a bit apprehensive at first, but with prayer and encouraging words from our brethren, which I’m sure were from God, I accepted the nomination.

I was born to God-fearing parents in the beautiful twin Island state of Trinidad and Tobago.  I grew up attending church and church activities on a regular basis.  The revelation of God’s saving grace came at age 17, and I was water baptized at the age of 19. I have served in many areas of the various churches I attended some of which are, assisting in children’s church, youth counseling, property maintenance and ushering.

My wife, Jennifer and I moved to Wappingers Falls during Christmas 2005. We started attending Faith Assembly on Easter 2006. It wasn’t long before Faith Assembly became our home church.  God blessed us with our son Joshua in 2007. At Faith Assembly we found friends and a church family that supported us spiritually, emotionally and, in some instances, physically.

My wife and I currently serve on the greeting and ushering team and we are active members in the discipleship program.  I also serve on one of the Samuel prayer teams. I feel we have been blessed by God, and, the opportunity to serve on the church board would be a great way to give back to our church community.

On a more academic note, I have a master’s degree in electronic engineering and an associate degree in mechanical engineering, both from the San Fernando Technical Institute.  I am currently involved in my own auto repair business, which is a platform for mentoring young men into becoming responsible young adults. I feel that God has put this burden on my heart and being involved with a god- fearing organization like Faith Assembly of God keeps me spiritually grounded.

I have served on the Church Board for the past three years, and I must say, it has been a tremendous experience. It is a privilege to work with the awesome people God has chosen to put on this board and I look forward to the next three years if I am elected again.
The wonderful people that make up our church body makes this all worthwhile. You have become more family to us, (my family and I) than friend, and we deeply appreciate all of you.   My prayers are with all our brethren, and I know that whoever is elected will be inspired by our Lord.

“Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.” Romans 14:19

I am humbled and honored to be nominated to serve as a Board Member at Faith Assembly.

I was born in Nassau County, Long Island.  I gave my heart to the Lord over 25 years ago but did not get “on fire” for the Lord until December 2001. I am married to my lovely wife, Sonia, who was born in El Salvador and we will celebrate 18 years of marriage in October 2020. Our 16-year-old son, Billy, attends FCA.

In 2007 we moved here from Queens and with the recommendation from pastor David Nuzzolo from our Church in Valley Stream, we started attending Faith Assembly.  In our first year at Faith, we joined a small group Bible study and started to make friends and got involved in ministries.

We own a Process Service business which my wife helps me operate. God has used me to share the truth of His love in my business and wherever He directs me.  Sometimes I have an opportunity to pray with people whom I serve papers to. I also pray for them before and after I leave their location.

My family and I are involved in many ministries: Royal Rangers, Welcome Café, Hosting Bible Studies, Men’s Ministry, Ushering, Children Church, Samuel Prayer, C-Force and wherever He calls us.

God brought us to Faith, and He is using us for His honor and glory.  I have found that being in God’s will is the best place to be.  His plans have always been better than mine and they bring much more joy!  Being obedient to what God wants me to do and go where He want me to go, that is my main focus now.  Although I fail every day, I pick myself up, dust myself off and try to be more like Jesus every day until He calls me home.  It would be an honor and a privilege to do His will on the Church board.
